Liam, oh Liam... how you love to climb things. I don't know if it's because he has an example in Eli or if he is just naturally a climber, but this kid is in/up everything. (Speaking of up, that was his new word for the day! He can now say "uh oh," "up," "baba," and "dada"). Every day, I catch him climbing into the toy boxes and sitting there. He also now climbs UP the stove (holds onto the door and puts his feet up on the broiler part). I neeeeed to get a stove lock.
He also loves climbing over ME if I'm laying on the floor, loves climbing over things on the floor like Eli's motorcycle, boxes, bags, etc. He always climbs up boxes to stand on top of them.
Poor Liam gets knocked over 7,000 times a day by his big brother. His life is a constant war zone. He never knows when the enemy will attack. He also gets whatever object he is holding ripped out of his hands 50,000 times a day. My poor little buddy.
Today, we switched over to whole milk because we ran out of formula and I don't want to buy more since he's going to be turning 1 in only 10 days! He took to it right away and didn't even flinch when he tasted it. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay for cheaper feedings!!!! :)
Other things I've been wanting to say but kept forgetting:
When Liam is tired or drinking his bottle, he always takes his right hand and plays with his collar/top part of his shirt. He's done that since he was a little baby. Whenever he is tired or hungry, he starts sucking his thumb. He usually puts himself to sleep by sucking his thumb.
Whenever he wakes up from a nap/sleep, his hair is usually standing straight up. He gets REALLY sweaty when he sleeps (and when he eats!!!), so I think that's why this happens.
No matter where he is in the apartment, if he hears the bathroom door open, he's there in less than 3 seconds. Once he's in, he MUST close the door. He does not like doors being open. He then books it for the toilet bowl brush or the plunger.
He's started standing up over and over during his bath time. Bathtime has been shorter for him as a result, because it's just too crowded in there to deal with him standing.
He really loves playing with the baseball, soccer ball and basketball. He loves throwing the ball and then chasing after it.
He continues to love pushing cars/trucks around.
He's FINALLY interested in books, for real. He will let me sit him in my lap and read 5 or so little books to him. He's started carrying books around, too. FINALLY.
My little guy.... Love him so much!
