Today, you are TWO MONTHS old!!! You're growing up so fast and changing so much every day. I'm excited for milestones to come, but wish I could slow this whole growing up thing waaaay down. You're such a good, sweet baby and I really am cherishing the time I get to spend with you, even the times in the middle of the night. Today, you had a checkup at the doctor and now weigh 11lbs, 1 oz (either the 37th or 42nd or 46th percentile...I forget what she said) and are 23 inches long (56th percentile). Aside from the newborn acne you still have (which she said SHOULD go away by 3 months), you look absolutely perfect. You are much more alert these days and can see much farther. I love seeing you notice and discover things. The other day, you stared at your toes for a good ten minutes, and today you noticed Riley for the first time. Whenever I come close to you and we make eye contact, you flash me the HUGEST smile ever. I loooooove that. You are a very smiley guy and love when people smile at you. You're cooing a lot now and it's absolutely adorable.
You really don't cry that much, but when you do cry, I've gotten much better at determining what you want. You generally cry for four reasons.... 1) you're hungry 2) you're gassy 3) you have a poopy diaper and 4) you're tired. Other than those times, you're content to just hang out on a blanket and look around. I've caught you looking at Eli a lot... no doubt wondering what that crazy guy is up to!
You are an AMAZING sleeper and I count my blessings every single day for that. You typically go down to sleep between 9-10 and wake up between 3:30 and 4 to eat. You're up for about 20-30 minutes and then are back asleep til 7:15 (how you know it's 7:15 every morning is beyond me!). If Eli is up, then you're up...but if he's not, then you'll go back to sleep again until 9-10. You're usually up for 1-2 hours and then asleep again for 2 or so... you take a loooong 3-4 hour nap in the afternoon and then are typically up from about 5-9. I love it!!!!
You still LOVE being outside and really enjoyed our time at Ocean City! You didn't get your shots until today (oh how you SCREAMED!) so I couldn't take you in the pool... but we'll for sure go next year!
Your big brother ADORES you and is really, really good to you. He loves giving you kisses and hugs and loves when you look at him. Whenever you do, he tells me "He's looking at you!" (meaning himself) or "he's talkin to you!" He loves tickling your feet and hands and touching your head. He still goes for your eyes, but not as much. He loves pretending to give you a shampoo and LOVES helping me give you a bath. He also likes watching and helping with diaper changes. He loves telling me when you wake up, when you're crying, when you're happy and when you throw up. :)
