I was feeling especially brave on the way there and stopped off at Babies R Us for some much needed stuff (sun shades for the car, washcloths, etc) and both boys did pretty good.
The Aquarium was crowded but not too bad and I was able to keep Eli in the stroller the whole time. The Aquarium was good but not great... but perfect for our needs. eli got tired of seeing the "nemos" and wanted to find alligators, elephants and gorillas.... lol. He LOVED seeing the big walrus and kept asking to see "another one walrus?" He was also excited to see the penguins, though they were sleeping and not swimming.
After the Aquarium, we had to head to my work for part two of my physical, and instead of driving the mile or so, I decided it would be more fun to walk on the boardwalk. It was Liam's first Coney Island experience, and he slept through most of it. (Did I mention he's been sleeping six to seven hours at night????? THANK YOU for amazing sleeping children!!!).
When we passed the rides, Eli kept saying he wanted to go on them (the roller coaster, etc)... so I decided to give the fire trucks a try. He had a look of moderate panic on his face, but he also looked like he was having fun... He clutched onto his steering wheel with all of his might, but occasionally took one off to ring his little bell. Success! After that, he decided he wanted to ride the little pony carts and THAT was super cute... he thought he was driving the horse. I can't wait to take him on more rides at Ocean City next week.
Speaking of OC, this kid is OBSESSED with the beach right now. He easily said "we're going to the BEACH!" 200 times yesterday. He informed me that he wanted to put on his "babin suit" and go in the water. He also informed me that he wanted Grandma to put on HER "babin suit" and go in the pool with him. I can't remember the last time I saw my mom in a pool..... this should be fun! I have a feeling I've got a little water baby on my hands, and nothing could make me happier.
Two days of work and then OC bound!
