I really love the logic of a two year old when they are trying to figure out how to ask for something. Eli usually has regular cheerios, but this time my mother-in-law gave us a box of the multigrain ones. He wanted them, so he came up and said "Mommy, can I have the new one cheerios?" :)
This morning at 4am, Eli woke up screaming. What was he screaming about? "I WANT A BAGEL!" He said it three times and then fell back to sleep. Ha. I tried to give him a bagel this morning thinking he would be really excited, but he wanted no part of it.
Last night, Eli was very much into sharing his toys with Liam. He gave him his prized Buzz Lightyear, which was cute cause Liam ended up hugging it. Then he went and gave him Woody...then Jessie...then Bullseye...then Mickey...then a cucumber (toy)...then a banana...then a carrot...then an onion. Lol. He was so excited to be sharing with Liam. I hope this continues when Liam is old enough to actually PLAY with the toys.
Yesterday, we had a play date with almost 4 year old twins Lucy and Nora. They had a lot of fun together and since the girls are older, they did a good job keeping an eye on eli when we went to the playground. When he went too far (I was watching Liam), they would run and each take one of his hands and bring him back. The girls decided they wanted to go in the sprinklers... I didn't think Eli would do it, cause he's often scared of the sprinklers, so I left him in his clothes. Well sure enough, he ran RIGHT THROUGH. After a few minutes, I took off his shirt... then his pants... so for a while he was just running around with his diaper and shoes. His diaper got SOOOOOO soaked and was sooooooo saggy! It was the funniest thing. It didn't seem to bother him at all.... but it was SOOOO saggy. He'd run and it would waddle back and forth. One of the twins said "Mommy, his diaper is bouncy!" Hahaha. I wish I had a video of it. Next time ;)
