Brielle's first time in the pool!

Today, we drove Auntie Jenn (who is visiting from American Samoa...we are SOOOOO excited to have her here!!!) up to Connecticut so she could spend a day with her cousins.  They have a pool in the backyard, and Eli was super excited to go for a swim.  We pulled up to the house, and as Jenn's cousin Dave opened the door, Eli said "Hi. What's your name? My name is Eli!"  followed by "I have to go pee pee" followed by "I wear big boy underwear now. No diapers."  Ha.  He then tore off to the bathroom and after going, stripped down and walked around naked, telling everyone he was going to the pool.  I put his suit on and he tried to go immediately.  Dave went out there with him and the two of them had a BLAST in the water.

I quickly got Liam and Brielle dressed in their suits and we all went out to join them.  Eli was SO BRAVE.  He was jumping in the water, dunking, splashing, and even swam by himself all over the pool with a noodle!  He could not get enough of the pool.  I was SO HAPPY.  Liam loved it, too.  He let Sandra take her in the water and was having tons of fun swimming around.  Jenn pointed out that he might be a natural swimmer, because he was doing a pretty good job kicking his legs!  He  loved trying to bat the beach balls, swimming with me to the other side, and riding the pool noodle like a horsie.

I took Brielle in the water, too!  She was very happy and smiled a lot.  I put her in a little pool boat and she was so cute sitting in there.  I jumped her up and down in the water and she was laughing.  She was getting cold, so Carole took her out and she was perfectly content to lay poolside for a while, watching her brothers splash around.

The drive home was amazing... the kids all slept, and I saw fireworks everywhere!  I don't get why so many places have fireworks on the 3rd of July, but for once, I'm not complaining about it!  It was so fun!
