Eli in April

Eli continues to be OBSESSED with animals.  He loooooves watching the Wild Kratts and would watch it all day long if I would let him.  He memorizes animal facts and talks about animals ALL DAY LONG.  If we're driving in the car, he can literally spew out animal facts for 2-3 hours straight.
His other favorite shows in April:  Octonauts, Dora (especially animal episodes).

Favorite books: Who's got the apple (one of my favorites as a kid), Berenstain Bear books, animal/dinosaur books.

He is big into legos again and likes building ships/planes/vehicles with Liam.

He loves riding his scooter around and especially enjoys trying to crash into Liam.

His most favorite thing to do is attack Liam as brutally as possible, staging "Fights" on the couch.  He likes to claw at Liam's head and face as much as he possibly can.

He loves kissing Brielle on the cheek.  He still calls her "Be-elle."

He has given Cougar to Liam and decided that Friedrich, my old bear, is his favorite.  He carries him from room to room and he has to be in his bed before he goes to sleep.

Our bedtime routine is ever changing, but for April, this is what he likes.  He wants to lay next to me for about 2 minutes and then have me carry him into his bed.  I have to scratch his back 50 times, with 10 bonus times, and then rub his tummy 10 times.  I then have to pat his side or his back and cover him.  He's going through this weird stage where he doesn't like to be left alone in a room. He says the monsters are going to get him.  I don't think he's actually afraid of monsters.. I think it's cause we read about a kid being afraid of monsters.  We have discussed the fact that monsters are extinct, just like dinosaurs, so it's impossible for them to come bother him.

He is the slowest eater EVER and it can sometimes take him a good 20 minutes to eat one chicken nugget.  Last night, I asked him what he wanted for dinner and he told me he wanted three celery sticks, one broccoli, one carrot and some "China rice."  I explained that we didn't have any chinese food and he said to just call the guy (the delivery guy) and have him bring some.  Love that guy. Happy he chose veggies!

Today is May 1st and he's SUPER excited cause he wants his birthday to come. :)
