My little baby is 15 months old! I keep looking at her, knowing that soon...very soon...she'll be a little girl and not a baby anymore.
It's very cute how much of a little helper Brielle can be at times. When we do the laundry, she understands that the clothes need to come out of the washer and go in the dryer... and usually tries to help me... one piece of clothing at a time. Whenever she sees a washcloth, she will pick it up and rub it all over her face. If she sees shoes, she tries to put them on. If something (legos, mainly) is spilled out and she sees that we are trying to clean up, she will come over to help put them away.... and then promptly dump them out again. If I ask her where her baby is, she will go over to the toy bin, open it, get out her two babies, and carry them over to me. It's neat to see her understanding so much. Sometimes, when she is in destruction mode and starts emptying containers, drawers, etc, I can tell her to put it back and she will... but only sometimes.
She's starting to figure out how to color, but she's still more interested in eating the crayon/marker.
She's consistent with these words and uses them appropriately: up, poo-poo (she always tells me when she went!), nap, sock, shoe, sit, boom, baba, apple. She tries to say diaper and likes to try saying fish ("shhhh").
This week especially, she is getting even more into EVERYTHING. She can scale the back of the couch and climb just about everything. Two days ago, I had to put her down for a nap early just so that I could sit and eat my lunch. She still loves going into the kitchen cabinets and emptying them all out.
