Liam in October:
-Sometimes, he has little conversations with himself that involve him telling himself to do something. He then says "Ok? ok." Super cute.
-Anything that he sees that is brown is "Poo poo cats!" Brown paint, rocks, basically anything that is brown. Today, he actually told me two times when he pooped. The second time, he came over and pointed at his diaper and said "Poo poo cats."
-He's been REALLY nice and sweet to Riley lately and she even lets him come near her now.
He pets her very sweetly, though he is still obsessed with feeling her ears...something she does not want him to do.
-Every morning, he likes to share a greek yogurt with me. We mix in granola and take turns taking bites. He is pretty much obsessed with yogurt... it has always been his favorite food. Today he had two yogurts plus shared mine PLUS threw a fit cause I wouldn't give him another one.
-He likes eating Cheerios and Kix. He really likes picking up a whole handful of either and putting it to his mouth like cookie monster, so most of the pieces fall. He says "cookie monster" while he's doing this.
-He somehow got a hold of a marker that I didn't see and somehow managed to color about 5 of his train tracks purple. Grrr. Every time he finds one now, he giggles and says "bad?"
-I once was having a hard time getting out the door with the double stroller cause the door stop wasn't working and I told the boys I was mad at the door. Now, every time we leave the apt, Liam turns around and says "Mommy mad? door?"
-Every day, he tells me he wants me to do "lots and lots of trains" while making his finger go in a circle. He wants me to build a train track for him and wants me to sit down and watch him play. He prefers that the basket of train tracks is completely dumped out each time. He knows the names of all of the trains without hesitating, even though I still have to check the bottom to see if it's Henry or Percy.... or Thomas or Edward (same colors). His favorite trains seem to be Toby, Henry and Neville.
-I discovered yesterday that he REALLY likes Elephant and Piggie books and will actually sit still for the whole entire book.
-He always asks to watch Iron Man or the Avengers or SpiderMan if it's his turn to watch TV. He's generally not that interested in TV... he pretends like he is, and occasionally he will sit there and watch something, but typically he just watches the first five minutes of a show and then asks me for the iPad.
-He really enjoys setting traps for things these days. He does it for Brielle and for a select number of his toys. The toy will be there and he'll dump out as many toys/books as he can to surround the object to make a trap. The other day, he surrounded Brielle with diapers and wipes and excitedly kept yelling "baby trap! baby trap!"
-He won't go to sleep in his own bed at night (with me in charge, that is. With mike, no problem). He wants to lay next to me and steam roll over me from side to side to side until he falls asleep. Either Mike or I then carry him off to his own bed, where he stays until about 6:15 when he hears Mike getting ready in the morning.
-He's been big into riding the little red motorcycle around while wearing his fire helmet the last few days. Two days ago, he rode like that to Eli's school when we went to pick him up.
-On our way home from school, nearly every day, we stop in a little restaurant Kolmaro and the boys get empanadas. They know us there and we love them. Eli goes up to the counter and asks for a cheese one and Liam always goes in yelling "BEEF! BEEF!" He eats only the edges off and then hands it to me and says "DONE, mommy!"
-Did I mention that he really enjoys dumping out every single toy he owns onto the floor?
-He gets REALLY, REALLY mad when Eli takes something of his. He screams and screams and closes his eyes and says "NOOOOO!" and pounds his fists and loooooses his cool and then goes over and bites Eli.
-He can now say "sticker" instead of "ack" and continues to ask for them every 5 seconds.
-He doesn't like it when Brielle puts her thumb in her mouth and comes over and pulls it out.
-If Eli is ever talking to/playing with/holding Brielle, he HAS to come over and do the same thing. They now fight all the time over who gets to be the one playing with Brielle.
-He LOVES taking baths. He always asks "Baff??" Eli has moved on to showers, so Liam gets the whole bath to himself and loves it. He likes to lay on his back and pretend he is swimming.
-Mike says he always asks for corned beef and runs around saying "BEEF! BEEF! BEEF! " on the weekends.
-He likes to ask "Kuya go?" or "Daddy go?" when he wants to know where they are. He calls Eli "Kuya" (Filipino word for big brother) all the time now.
-For the past two days, he keeps wanting to wear underwear. The first day, I took off his diaper and let him wear just that. That ended as soon as he peed all over the floor. Last night, he slept with underwear on over top of his jammies and was very mad at me for taking them off in the morning.
-He has buzz lightyear shoes and loves them. He calls them "Buzz shoes!" and always wants to be a big boy and put them on himself. He cannot do this and screams and yells and pitches an absolute fit.
-He loves going to the playground, especially when we go in the sandbox or when I chase him around.
