Trying to get caught up on scrapbooks, quotes, pictures and memories today! Here goes:
ELI (at 4 years, 3 months):
-loves watching Voltron, Lego movies, The Avengers, Dinobots, and other such movies that he really probably shouldn't be watching at this age.
-went with me and Emily to see his third movie, Monsters University, last week. He loved eating his movie theater popcorn and loved sharing my Icee with me. He had a great time. After the movie, Emily and I took him out for Ice Cream and then over to a little train ride around the lake. We all had a great time and loved the movie.
-He insists on picking out his own outfit 80% of the time. The other 20%, he insists that I pick it out and FREEEEEEEEEEAKS out if I don't.
-Loves it when I pick him up upside down and swing him around, throw him on the couch, run around with him airplane style and chase him around
-loves reading his dinosaur books and continues to spout out dinosaur facts to anyone who will listen. He also loves quizzing me on dinosaurs... he tells me about them and wants me to guess which one he's talking about. This gets very tricky when he decides to make up names, something he does quite often.
-loves making up words and loves rhyming his made up words
-loves showing Liam how to play games on the iPad
-LOVES telling Liam what to do, where to go, etc, when we are out at the playground. "Liam, come here!" "Look Liam, do this!" Liam is rarely interested in listening and Eli gets VERY upset when he doesn't.
-loves figuring out what animals/creatures/dinosaurs like to eat
-loves eating chocolate chip pancakes. (or anything with chocolate chips)
-loves his little sister very much.
-LOVES going to Grandma's house
-always comes out of the bathroom without pants
-loves drinking cold water (it must be cold....he takes drinks out of the fridge and wants them back IMMEDIATELY after taking a sip so it won't get "warm"), especially in a "big person cup"
-likes to walk on the sidwalk instead of ride in the stroller. He usually changes his mind after about a block, but if I bribe him with something or if he's really excited to go somewhere, he can walk a lot longer.
-likes to cuddle with me in bed for about 5 minutes before he goes to sleep. He doesn't want me to touch him, but it's still pretty cute. Then he wants me to cover him up with his blanket, which he usually immediately removes.
-really, really likes fighting with his brother
-loves walking around making scary monster noises
-loves tattling on his brother. Not looking forward to this evolving over the years.
-still loves nursery rhymes
-loves reading There's a Wocket in My Pocket
-can now completely buckle himself up in his car seat
LIAM (at 2 years, 2 months)
-loooooves the book Hop on Pop. He laughs on almost every page and likes to repeat all of the words. He especially likes the part where Mr. Brown is upside down and where Pat sits on the hat.
-loves building train tracks
-loves pushing, pinching, kicking, slapping, hitting and biting his brother
-says "TOP!" instead of stop.
-continues to deny that he has pooped
-LOVES getting baths. He asks me several times a day if he can get a bath.
-loves running through sprinklers
-has started going into the bathroom, taking off his diaper and saying "pee pee!" but he does nothing in there and does NOT want to sit on the potty
-still loooooooves stickers and still calls them "acks"
-LOVES watching toy story. He calls it "buzz!" If he wants to watch the first one, he calls it "BLUE!" The second one is "RED!" The third one has no name.
-is pretty good about his colors now. It's funny to hear him pronounce yellow and orange, cause they are nowhere near being close.
-likes to put hats and sunglasses on, but doesn't really like to keep them on
-LOVES applesauce and asks for it right when he wakes up. He calls it "dauce."
-loves being tickled
-does EVERYTHING his big brother does. If Eli goes and gets a blanket, Liam goes and gets a blanket. If Eli goes to sit down at the table, Liam goes to sit down at the table.
-loves doing somersaults and standing on his head
-Says MOMMY over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over in a whiny voice. It. drives. me. crazy. (He's doing it right now) It doesn't matter if I say what or yes or respond to him in any way. He just likes doing it.
-loves to give me his sweet boy face when he knows that he's done something wrong or that I'm mad at him.
-still won't let me ever go into the bathroom by myself (THOUGH, he does now AMAZINGLY let me get a small shower!)
-has started hitting me in the face. NOT cool.
-will only fall asleep if he is laying next to me. He, opposite of Eli, HAS to be touching me and prefers to have his feet on my head.
-loves carrying his baby doll around and always asks "BABY?" when he can't find her. He likes to tuck her in and put her in his booster seat.
-Loves riding Eli's scooter
-has, over the past two days, started pulling toys away from Brielle.
-related to the above comment, loves saying "MINE!" and freaks out if I put Brielle in his seat or stroller or give him "HIS" toy. Great. It was nice while it lasted!
-LOVES sitting in Brielle's bouncy seat. He does this about 40 times a day, even though he knows he is not allowed to
-always asks to hold the box when I get out a movie for them to watch. SO many boxes have been destroyed as a result.
-still is obsessed with the words "bite" and "hot." If he ever sees an animal, he says "BITE!" and any type of food he declares to be "HOT!"
-won't let me sing songs. If I try, he always says "TOP!"
BRIELLE (at almost 6 months)
-started sitting up on her own yesterday! She did it three times... got from her belly to a sitting position.
-is on the MOVE... she can get herself from one side of the room to the other in a few minutes by scooting herself. She loves playing with trains, cars and the boys action figures.
-still is a great sleeper at night. She still puts herself to sleep at night and for naps, all I have to do is lay her in her pack n play and she goes right to sleep. She is a very light sleeper in the morning and always wakes up when she hears mike or me getting ready for work, but she always goes back to sleep. She typically takes 2 to three naps a day. Her first nap is anywhere from 30min to an hour and her second nap is anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours. If we are out and about and I have her in the ergo, she usually falls asleep.
-had her 6 month check-up yesterday and is in the 50th percentile for weight (weighing in at 15lbs, 10 oz) and the 75th (!!!) percentile for height (26 1/4 inches).
-She still LOVES talking. It's very cute to have a "conversation" with her.
-She always laughs and smiles at her brothers when they come close to her.
-is transitioning to size 3 diapers. Size 2 seems too small, but size 3 seems too big!
-wears 6 month clothes now
-drinks 4 or 5 7-8 oz bottles a day
-loves getting kisses on her cheeks
-is the easiest, happiest baby of all time.
