Mom babysat on Monday so Mike and I could both go to work and the two of them had a blast! Eli loves coloring with Grandma, putting stickers on his artwork, and reading with Grandma. She also got to hear some of his new songs and see some of his new gymnastic moves (spinning, leaping, galloping, twirling, jumping off of the couch, etc).
This morning was wonderful - Eli woke up at 6:30... I changed his diaper and gave him a little something to eat, then turned him over to Grandma and went BACK TO SLEEP until 9:45. It was a BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL thing. Mom left when Eli went down for his nap, and while I feel like nap time is usually a rush to shower/do dishes/eat/get stuff done, I truly feel like I'm just able to lay here and relax today. It's a GREAT day!
It's been 90 degrees here for the past two days and I'm really feeling it. I didn't think my feet were swollen til I put on my flip flops today and saw how tight they were. My fingers also feel swollen. Lovely. So as beautiful as it looks outside and as much as I want to go out there to take Eli for a walk, etc, I think we'll be staying in! I only have a few pairs of maternity pants and NO maternity shorts/capris, so this mama is hot! I have a few workout capris that fit if I wear them under my belly, fat man style.... I sure wish I could wear those to work! :)
Ok... off to knock a few things off of my to do list. Mom helped me go through all of the baby clothes to pick out some cute boy/girl coming home from the hospital outfits, so that's done! Whew!
